The Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actress Elizabeth Montgomery was born on April 15th 1933 and was a star of stage and screen spanning five decades.
The daughter of actor Robert Montgomery, she appeared in her fathers television series "Robert Montgomery Presents" and even won a Theater World Award for her Broadway debut in "Late Love."
But for many fans of classic television, she will forever be known as Samantha Stephens in the late '60's - '70's sitcom "Bewitched."
"Bewitched" ended it's run in 1972 but I was very familiar with the show thanks to syndication. She was a lovely, charming presence onscreen and the show overall was just a pleasant treat for sitcom lovers. It never ceased to put a smile on your face and leave you feeling happy.
After the shows run, she made some notable television movies. My favorite by FAR is her appearance as Lizzie Borden in 1975's "The Legend Of Lizzie Borden." Aside from some fascinating documentaries this film was the definitive take on the infamous incident in Fall River, Massachusetts. The axe murder case was always a fascinating moment in history and that film continues to rekindle the interest.
She passed away on May 18th 1995 at the age of 62.
Let's celebrate the legacy of our most wonderful classic T.V. witch...Elizabeth Montgomery.

Intentional Parallels? ("Conclave" Movie Review)
"Conclave" is a mystery thriller based on the 2016 Robert Harris book of the same name. Starring Ralph Fiennes, John Lithgow, Stanley Tucci, and Isabella Rossellini, the film focuses on the most powerful group of the Catholic Church cardinals as they mourn their recently deceased pope and prepare to vote for a new one. As they continue to vote and debate the merits of the nominees, many twists and turns present bumps in the road. And that last twist...well, it's a doozy. Being a registered independent, this film firmly leans in the progressive side of things, though corruption seeps into all sides. It is a fight for those in the middle to choose which way the church will continue into the future. Whether it should go back to reading Latin and become so conservative that they choose not to accept other religions or liberal points of view, or whether to continue to go in a more progressive way and deal with the world as it changes. As I watched this film I couldn't help...
