"Now That's A Name I've Not Heard In A LONG TIME..."

1999 is a year I'm quite fond of. It was May and I was over the moon excited about the return of a franchise I had not seen in theaters since 1983. That film was "Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi."  We fans wanted more Star Wars. And we did receive it by way of Expanded Universe stories in comic books and novels. But that experience of seeing Star Wars in the theaters was an aching hole in my heart, I'll be honest. And I grew up.

Now, all of a sudden, roaming around Toys R Us, I was seeing BRAND NEW Star Wars action figures. Something I had only dreamed of (yes, I LITERALLY dreamed of new Star Wars action figures when I was a kid). And now it was a reality. Soon, I would be seeing "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace."

That prequel series would end with 2005's "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith." And thankfully the franchise has moved along with sequels and a new flood of comics, books, and games.

Then...Disney + came along and brought the fandom back together with the amazing "The Mandalorian." A new age of Star Wars began. And the possibilities were now endless. With that, fans wanted a project with Ewan McGregor. To reprise his role as Obi Wan Kenobi, filling the holes left from Episode III to Episode IV.

And on May 27th 2022, this now will come to pass.

Let us rejoice in the dreams coming true in the Star Wars universe. Real life can definitely bring sadness and pessimism among us. And we ultimately have to fight for good. And that's always what Star Wars represented. Good versus Evil. The ultimate galactic story of Good versus Evil.

This show will return us to a galaxy far, far away and transport us out of our daily lives to escapism. But it always has an underlying message of the fight for right. And we will eventually go back to real life. Let The Force flow through us and treat others with kindness and selflessness.

May The Force Be With You.
