Black Friday & The Zombie-Like Masses

It's Black Friday...again.
Another year of the masses trampling over terrified retail employees, pepper spraying their obstacles over a high speed blender, pushing little kids to the ground for a high def big screen T.V.
You know...all that holiday cheer stuff!
And for the past couple of years now, it wasn't well enough that it existed on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Oh no! It just HAD to spill into Thanksgiving!
Every year it gets earlier. Don't blink...the entire day may end up being fair game!
As our modern shopper can see, online shopping has taken a massive chuck of the retail game. And that has made retail chains go into ultra competitive strategies that feed the zombie-like masses.
Oh, what does it matter? Automation is probably going to take these jobs anyway and these midnight deal walkers can just head to a Kiosk. Or shop in the safety of their own home. The frenzy of Black Friday may be a phenomenon that seemed like it only lasted in a blink of an eye.
I must admit that I'm a big time mall rat. I mean, I am an '80's kid. I love the old school era of arcades, giant megastores, and just the pleasant, calming muzak playing as you sipped your Orange Julius. But over time these Bloodsport events kind of ruined the fun of shopping. I don't blame anyone for a second if they do all of their shopping online.
In closing, whatever apocalyptic scenario comes to be, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Try and enjoy it like a human being.
